Es cierto, el tema tiene algunos años (es del 2009), pero no ha sido muy difundido hasta que se lo incluyó en la película «The Hangover» (literalmente, «La Resaca», titulada en España «Resacón en América» y en Latinoamérica «¿Qué pasó ayer?»)
El único momento en el que se escucha el tema es al final de la película, sobre los créditos finales, cuando los cuatro amigos ven fotos de lo que realmente pasó durante la borrachera de la que no recuerdan nada, debido a que fueron drogados por error con una droga que produce, precisamente, ese efecto.

El tema es del rapero Flo Rida, junto a la cantante Ke$ha, que en esos momentos no era tan conocida como lo fue un par de años después. Fue el tema de difusión del álbum «R.O.O.T.S«.
El tema fue número uno durante seis semanas en el Billboard Hot 100, y fue el segundo número uno en esa lista de Flo Rida. El primero fue el tema Low, interpretado en colaboración con T-Pain. «Right Round» fue número uno en Australia, Canadá, Irlanda y Reino Unido. Se pudo escuchar esta canción durante el concurso Miss Universo 2009, y es uno de los temas que las ardillas cantan en la película «Alvin y las ardillas 2».
